PAUL ROGERS’ HONOURS FACILITY AT UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND

On Thursday 23 April 2009 the University of Queensland Business School hosted a commemorative reception for the opening of the Paul Rogers Honours Facility, generously supported by InterFinancial Corporate Finance Limited.

Paul Rogers was Founder and Managing Director of InterFinancial from its inception in 1987, together with Ray Magill and David Moffatt. Paul was involved in substantial M & A transactions in Australia, USA and the UK in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, health, agriculture and tourism. He specialised in negotiating and structuring transactions and other complex arrangements on behalf of clients.

Paul was Director of the Australian Venture Capital Association 1998 - 1999, a Director of Palmer Tube Mills Limited 1987 - 1994 and an alternate Director of GWA International Limited from 1994 - 2001. He held degrees in Economics and Law and was also a Fellow of the Australian Society of CPAs and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sadly, in 2006, at the age of 53, Paul passed away.

In memory of Paul and his accomplishments, UQ Business School and InterFinancial have dedicated the honours facility in his name.

Also, on this significant occasion, Emeritus Professor Frank Finn acknowledged the honours students who received the prestigious Frank Finn Scholarship (2009).
